Urban Camo Project

I choose Designer Aaron Larney.

 Photographer,  Aaron Larney was born and raised in North London, England. He graduated from from Central Saint Martins in first honor class of  Master degree in BA graphic design. He was a photographer that works with print, digital ad motion picture ( one of his major ), which was called   'Camouflage' , type of skill that someone has to blend in the background setting where other people cannot notice easily.

Aaron Larney work and created various kind different kind of art pieces. For example,  few of his popular urban Camouflage work,  ' Graffiti and notice '  and  ' Notice board ' were interesting project that has creativeness and unique art work. Urban camouflage had many different ways to express and become one with the back ground environment. Aaron Larney had inspired me quite a bit to understand of Urban Camouflage with I didn't knew about and think of my new picture for my project.

 - His Camouflage  artwork, ' Graffiti and Notice Projects board has has a photos in which the subject entirely blended  with the background it already have. The project created along with help of artists like Matt child. One of feature of this camouflage would be barely visible on the background wall. I really liked this photo because it shows his own creativity.

 

His other Urban Camouflage from project ' Noticeboard ', one of the picture was taken for image beside of this paragraph, which it shows newspaper roll were painted on the wall and the reveals his imagination tat would fit the color and the style.

My Work on Urban Camoflage

For my Urban Camouflage, I led down to grass to blend myself that i painted with light green and dark pray paint. Also I spread some grass to just cover itself.

This photo is One of my camouflage work, that I covered with black garbage bag. I thought People wouldn't notice with this idea because they wouldn't able to know person is actually inside of garbage bag.

This photo is also one of my camouflage work. It look pretty silly. Since I had ran out of idea to create new Camouflage work, so I figure it out with revealing my hand into game that shows their hands moving around.

HDR Photograph Project

                        What is HDR Photograph?

 - HDR is stands for Dynamic Range. It is processing task of one image or a various images. HDR Photograph is a method that have combining the photos and adjusting the contrast ratio. Which are impossible with single aperture and shutter speed. An HDR image is usually made by taking three photos of same scene with different shutter speeds. The brightness of bright , medium, and dark photo would come out as the result and based on the amount light went through the lens.

The technology of HDR photograph started at period of 1930s when photographer named "Charles Wychoff" developed HDR photograph for capturing images of nuclear explosions. 1990s was the time when people got attention to HDR photograph and went more deeper and more scientific approach. They were experimenting on two photography elements : tone mapping and bracketing. A few years later, a computer graphic researcher named "Paul Debeyec" applied the scientific studies and mathematical theories on HDR photograph. Also he combined a couple images with different exposure level to successfully produced HDR photograph image. 

                                                       Current use of HDR photograph
As more various ways to create the HDR photography images, it become available to everyone. The HDR photograph allows the photographers to play with dynamic range of an images exposure. lt lets photographers shows the detail of a larger range of image and shows the detail and more accurate of image as the real that they are trying to capture. HDR technique help solving the problems of camera that it cannot show both light and dark area of an image compare  what the people sees.

Different type of creating HDR phtotograph images

1. 
- 1. Open Shadow/ Highlight setting
 Load of image in photoshop and go to the "image" menu. Select the "Adjustments" option and click on the "Shadow/Hightlight"  option from the menu.

- 2. Adjust shadow and highlight setting

 In panel, choose the shadow and "Amount" to "50%", "Tonal Width" to "45%" and "Radius" to "40%". Click on the "Ok" button on apply these changes on the image.

-3. Create & Colour Dodge Layer

 Now go to the Layers panel and make a duplicate of the Background layer. Choose the name of this duplicate layer as "Colour Dodge" and change its Blending mode to "Colour Dodge" from the menu.

-4. Create a Linear Burn Layer

 Now make another duplicate of the "Colour Dodge" layer and choose its name as "Linear Burn". Change its Blending Mode to "Linear Burn" from the menu.
-5. Select the Colour Range
 Press "D" on your keyboard to set the "Foreground " colour to "Black". Now go to "Select" menu and click on the "Colour Range  Option " from the list.
-6. Adjust colour Range.
 In this window, choose the "Fuzziness" value to "100", select the "Invert" option and click on the "ok" button to apply it.
-7. Create a mask
 Now click on the " Add layer mask" button to add a selection mask on this layer.
-8. Add a Gaussian Blur. 
Now select the layer mask and flitter menu. Select the Blur option and click on the "Glussain" from the list.
-9. Choose its Radius. 
 Choose the "Radius" of the filter as "50 pixels" and click on the "OK" button to apply these changes on the layer.
-10. Adjust the Opacity
 Select the "Linear Burn" layer and go to the "Opacity" option. Click on it and change opacity to "55%".
-11. Create an Overlay Layer.
 Now make a duplicate of this layer and choose its name as "Overlay", change the blending mode of this new layer to "Overlay " from the menu. Select the layer mask and press "CTRL plus I" from the keyboard to invest  its selection. Now change the "Opacity" option of this layer to "40%" from the menu.
-12. Select the colour range.
 Now select the "Background" layer and duplicate it. Choose the name of this duplicate layer as "Light" and more the layer on top of other layers. Change the "Foreground" colour to "White" from the tool bar, go to the "select" menu and click on the "Colour Range" option.
-13. Adjust colour Range Setting
 In this window, select the "Fuzziness" option to "100%". Now choose the "Invert" option and click on the "OK" button to apply these changes.
-14. Create a mask
 Now click on the "Add layer Mask" button to add a selection mask on this layer.
-15 Apply a Gaussian Blur
 Now select the layer mask and apply a Gaussian blue filter by choosing the "Radius" option as "50 pixels" on this layer.
-16 create a colorize layer
 In the past create a duplicate layers as "Colorize" and change its blending mode to "Hard light " from the menu.
   Now the picture is successfully converted into an HDR image.

Some HDR Picture I took:

This photo is taken from our school backyard. My personal approach of this photo is flying, as I am looking up to the sky, It inspires the idea of dream and flying. Basically, I followed the steps that tutorial expained in the video. The reason that the sunshine throught the tree, It has more detail (?). I learned how to create image more detail and specific.

My Second HDR photo is also taken from school backyard. My theme is almost same as the first image I already expained. I thought it was cool to have sunshine that directly pictured from the sun. It was followed the tutorial and ya.......

This HDR image is taken from Clayton Park, the place near our school. This image thmem is supposed to be part of "Dreams of Flying". It is awesome that this image has the moment the sun is going down. This picture is followed by the similar steps that first and second image had.  Im great to be learn how to create HDR photoes because I can actually make images more descritive and put more detail on it.
